Julian Simpole, Steve Giddins and Raymond Keene managed to pull of the tournament book four days after 'Mexico 2007' was finished!

What to expect from this book?
- 66 pages by Raymond Keene on history of the Worldchampionships and the Worldchampions, including annotated games of all of them. Keene also ventures out "Ranking the Champions"
- the remaining 150 or so pages contain all the games from Mexico with light, verbal notes from Julian Simpole who was present at the event. Simpole took note of the comments by the players after the games and used them in the book, thus giving original  insights into the critical moments of the games

About the authors:
Julian Simpole is an official FIDE organiser who played top board for Sussex for many years. Julian was present in Mexico and provides on-the-spot reports.

Grandmaster Ray Keene was, perhaps, the first see the oppotunities created by computer technology in chess publishing. Formerly players had to wait months, even years, to see a tournament book. Computers revolutionised publishing and made it possible to telescope the entire process into a few days. Keene invented the 'instant book' and this effort is perhaps the most spectacular of all his achievments.

Steve Giddins is a FIDE master, journalist and author. This summer Steve wrote the daily reports for both the Staunton Memorial Tournament and the Liverpool UK-China match. Steve provided notes, he edited and type-set the whole. A remarkable co-operation!
